Harry Potter Comment Ficathon
Because all this Pottermore business has reminded me how much I love this fandom, and how amazing Harry Potter is. This is a general HP ficathon so pretty much anything goes. Any ship, any character, any era. AU or canon, EWE or epilogue-compliant. Anything.
There are a few simple rules:
~Leave a comment with a prompt. The more specific you are the better, but it's not necessary. Just a quote or a picture or a song will do. And it doesn't even have to be that, it could just be the name of a ship, character, etc. and what you'd like the fic to be about.

~To fill prompts, you can do one of two things:
1. reply to each prompt with the fic, in multiple comments if need be, or
2. reply to the prompt with a link to your fic posted on your journal or any archive (fanfiction.net, skyehawke, etc.)
If you go with the second option though, make sure that the post is public. IT MUST BE PUBLIC.
~When filling prompts, make sure to label the subject as "Title - Characters/Ships - Era - Rating". This is for archiving purposes, should I decide to archive.
~You may make as many prompts as you like, and fill as many as you like. There is no limit to how many times a prompt can be filled so if you see a prompt you really like that already has 10 responses, don't worry, you can still write it! That said, be sure to share the love! Look beyond the first few pages!
~No ship wars, no rude comments, no hating period! The whole point of this ficathon is for all the HP fans to get together and reconnect! Also, people are being kind enough to take time out of their busy days to write these for you, so don't be mean! :)
banners that you can use for pimping (if you'd like to submit one, feel free!):

Date: 2011-08-07 09:58 am (UTC)She never imagined she could be here, like this. Slicing the air on a broomstick! A broomstick!
In these few moments, it is all worth it. The strangeness, the newness... the loneliness. No matter how hard she tries, Tuney's face, twisted in anger and disbelief, lingers in her darkest moments. No matter how hard she tries, the sting of rejection will never go away, only intensifying with the beat of her pulse.
Thump, thump.
But these things are lifetimes away: now, she is air, she is speed, she is flight!
Then, suddenly, she is gravity. The wind is rushing higher, higher, and she - she is weightless, broken, dust in the wind.
You are nothing but a freak.
Solidity. Shaky, but there. She wonders vaguely if the ground has caught up to her, if Gaea herself chose to reject her.
Why is everything so warm?
"Close your eyes --"
Darkness.
--
She is twenty-one, and she is dying.
Surrounded by nothingness, she is in more pain than she has ever been in her life. Yet, somehow, she is detached from it. Has she lost something?
Flashes of blonde hair, blue eyes. Dirty black hair, angry dark eyes. Soft, red cheeks, fields of green. Hazel, everywhere, hazel.
She realizes she has lost everything.
There is a vague, persistent instinct that she cannot seem to react to. The urge to cry, perhaps. But the dead do not mourn, do they?
Nothingness, she decides, is cold.
She drifts. She does not know how long she is there, alone. She is used to this, at least. Loneliness.
She remembers what it feels like to fly.
And then there is light. It starts small, then spreads, spreads, spreads. It is warm, a familiar warm.
You are everything to me.
"Lily! Lily!"
Finally, she feels a sense of being. She is not used to it yet - humanity was so limiting, so material. But now she is everywhere and nowhere at all, at once nothing and everything.
"James."
She feels his essence intertwine with hers. Nothing has ever fit more perfectly.
"Lil, I'm so sorry. I... I failed, and Harry. Oh God, Harry --"
"James, no, there was nothing we could have done..."
If she still had a heart, she thinks, it would beat for James. No: it would still beat for James. From birth unto eternity - she had always been his.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
"I'm here, James. I'm here."
